Meet Howie – a multi-talented professional who thrives on solving problems and making his clients’ lives easier. As a skilled developer, Howie has built websites and apps for everyone, from large (unnamed) financial product firms to non-profits who rely on his work to manage programs and memberships. Howie’s passion for technology and innovation is evident in his work and client relationships. But that’s not all – he’s also a music video director, an unlicensed electrician, and a Disneyworld enthusiast.

Howie’s love for problem-solving doesn’t stop there. He’s always challenging himself to learn new skills and take on new challenges. In fact, at just 14 years old, he won the New York State Science Fair’s top engineering award for building a “useless” device that doubled the capacity of a cassette tape, truly ahead of his time. Although it may have been deemed “useless,” this project allowed Howie to hone his problem-solving skills and sparked his interest in technology, and learn to take the subway by himself to Columbia University where he participated in an internship that, as he remembers it, had something to do with microprocessors, C++, and regulating the amount of alcohol in some type of solution – and maybe something to do with the weather too.

And if that’s not impressive enough, Howie’s YouTube channel, Music Shed, recently hit 100,000 subscribers. Through his entertaining videos and witty humor, he’s able to showcase his passion for videomaking and music. In his quest to push boundaries, Howie once built a 3D printed rig that held six GoPros to shoot a groundbreaking music video in 360º VR, showcasing his ability to blend his passions for technology, music, and videomaking.

But at the end of the day, what truly sets Howie apart is his dedication to his family. He’s always looking for ways to incorporate his love of construction and technology into their lives, be it building a double loft bed for his daughters or creating an app to monitor the safety and well-being of his grandmother.

So, whether he’s creating cutting-edge technology, making music videos, or spending time with his family, Howie’s eclectic life and career are a testament to his passion for problem-solving, learning new skills, and having fun along the way.
