In spring 2012 we were asked to film dogs for Banana Republic. Yup dogs - woof woof. Our client and friend, Valins & Co. was tasked with creating a “Viral” video of sorts and they thought, “why not shoot dogs?” Well, not shoot dogs, but film dogs. The idea was simple: Team up with the ASPCA and using patterns from Banana Republic’s Trina Turk Collection, create a fun video showcasing the Palm Springs-inspired line and cute, cuddly, adoptable K9’s from the ASPCA.

What do they say? Never work with babies or animals. While some of the dogs were more into doing their own thing, thanks to the skillful trainers and a very patient director, we got what we were looking for.

Sometimes it’s the simple assignments that leave the most lasting impression. This was one of those projects. Very low stress. Didn’t bite off more than we can chew. Lots of “oohs” and “awes.” Everyone left happy and the finished piece totally works.

Check out this article from the The Huffington Post about the project.
